Marghera is the industrial area of Venice.
Marghera is in symbiosis with the Petrochemical, which, like it or not, has always been its economic and social engine.
They cannot be divided, they are the two poles that attract and repel at the same time, an eternal dialogue and conflict.
Employment on the one hand, pollution on the other.
Therefore, I decided to represent this ambiguity by intervening with chemical oxidations on inkjet prints.
And like Marghera, a place of constant conflict and dialogue, has changed over time, these photos also change:
the chemical intervention creates an oxidation of the printed surface, which changes and strengthens over time.
As if the continuous fluctuation of dialogues and conflicts, or tests of dialogue between different things and ideas, were the engine of the world.
And of matter.
