The body changes, it ages, it can not rejuvenate, it only goes in one direction.
I'm looking to pictures of myself taken some years ago and see how I've changed. I can imagine how I will change.
But it is curious to see how in some people this evolution may already be under our eyes.
There are similarities - somatic traits - that continue for more than a generation:
We can see how we are, but also how we will be, or how we were.
I'm looking to families where people look alike from generation to generation.
Daughters, parents and grandparents with the same somatic traits show who they are, who they will be, and who they were, but all at same moment.
About the techniques used: these prints are the result of an image transfer process, not using polaroid material, but starting from inkjet prints.
Putting high gloss inkjet print on hot water, the gloss surface detaches from its support and can be transferred to watercolor paper.
So, scratches and damages on the final print are due to this mechanical transfer.
It's the same process as polaroid (more or less), but starting from an inkjet print.
Each transfer creates a unique print. Like the uniqueness of each person.
